HISTORY
Dalby Radiator Works was established by Mr Rex Parker in 1952 and commenced trading in Penny Lane, off Patrick Street and later moved to 1 Hunter Street adjacent to the Dalby railway station. This was a vital era for railway freight and so in this position could access radiators coming from western areas and also allow for radiators to be sent out to customers by train.

In 1971 the business changed hands and ran under the control of Mr Martin Shepherd until around 1974 when Mr Rex Redding purchased it.

In 1982, Mr Redding moved the business to the corner of Eileen and Dan Sts, previously the Golden Fleece Service Station.

The current owners, Rob and Karen Stewart, purchased Dalby Radiator Works in 1994.

During 1996, Dalby Radiator Works expanded its operation by opening Goondiwindi Radiator Works after the retirement of the very respected Norm Hilderson who had run H & H Radiators in Goondiwindi for many years. Throughout that time both Dalby Radiator Works and Goondiwindi Radiator Works achieved Quality Assurance Standard.

In 2003 the company won a Workplace Health & Safety award for best workplace practices in Qld and acted as a mentor to the set standards throughout the radiator industry.

2006 saw Dalby Radiator Works move towards incorporating Automotive air-conditioning into its workshop when it was granted its National Refrigerant Trading Authorisation (AU12501) and staff achieved National Refrigerant Handling Licenses. The business of Dalby Radiator Works has continued to grow over the years so a decision was made to expand the workshop and relocate to a bigger site.

In 2010, a commercial block was purchased in the industrial estate on Loudoun Road/Moonie Highway along-side other well-known Dalby businesses. This block is historically known as the Telecom depot which in its time was home to 40 staff who serviced western Queensland. It is also thought that the existing office building on this block of land was previously the Dalby Post Office which was located on the current site of the ANZ Bank many years age.

In January, 2012, Rob and Karen Stewart and a team of dedicated staff moved Dalby Radiator Works into a new, locally designed and built, radiator repair and automotive air-conditioning workshop located at 16 Loudoun Road, Dalby.
